In an effort to continue providing reliable and quality environmental services, we apply a fixed environmental recovery fee to our invoices comprised of four components: fuel, insurance, training and compliance. This fee is applied to the entire invoice, excluding taxes and cost plus items and is included as a clearly distinguishable, separate line item.
For emergency responses, the fuel surcharge component is calculated using the U.S. On-Highway Diesel Fuel Prices index generated by the U.S. Energy Information Administration at the website www.eia.gov/petroleum/gasdiesel/. The prior week’s average from this index will be used to calculate the current week’s price and will be updated on the first Monday of every week. Minimum and maximum charges will be applied and will vary according to the applicable rate and region. The following rate table is provided for reference:
