Role Description

The Account Manager position at Hull’s Environmental Services generates profitable new customer sales and continually seeks potential cross-selling and upselling sales opportunities from current customers within a designated territory.  The role requires a commitment to sales prospecting, business development and customer relationship building.

Offers a solution-selling approach that focuses on customers’ needs and challenges. Nurtures customers to form a long term, value-based relationship that maximizes the company’s profit margin while simultaneously building brand loyalty.

Responsibilities

Generating viable, legitimate and profitable opportunities within the company’s lines of business

Prospecting for new business by conducting sales calls, site visits and prospect meetings

Actively maintaining an updated view of the sales pipeline including dates, notes and other relevant information regarding the prospect or customer

Enhancing Hull’s position within each assigned account through consultative, in-depth selling

Evaluating potential projects and developing a preliminary scope of work

Fostering a strong working relationship with Hull’s operations manager to further business goals

Focusing on customer retention and improving overall customer satisfaction

Facilitating customers’ questions, concerns and technical support to increase our overall value to the customer drive customer loyalty

Conducting site visits, gathering information, building a scope of work for all types of projects within the company’s lines of business

Generating customer proposals with an accurate scope of work, pertinent details, and timely delivery

Communicating clearly as needed to ensure Hull’s employees and customer contacts are aware of account activity and any actions required to successfully service the customer

Facilitating effective customer relationships through appointment setting, meetings and effective customer entertainment

 

Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of experience in marketing / sales / customer service with a proven track record of success

Bachelor’s degree

Knowledge and experience in the environmental services or related industry

Demonstrated ability to cultivate an extensive network of contacts

Demonstrated experience as both an effective leader and team player

 

Knowledge And Skills

Strong inter-personal and communication skills and the ability to foster strong, successful business relationships with both customers and other Hull’s employees

Effective negotiation skills that focus on the value for products and services provided, rather than resorting to price-based selling

Outstanding computer skills including CRM platforms and Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to manage time and resources effectively to achieve established goals

Strong business acumen, including an understanding of the business relationship between customer, contractors and third-party administrators

Polished listening skills and a problem-solving abilities to uncover needs and motivations that will overcome objections that prevent closing sales
